Longtime guests Lori and Kevin Cates became the restaurant’s new owners in 2025, completely renovating the restaurant that summer and reopening The Italian Barrel with new chefs, renewed energy, and a deep commitment to exceptional food and gracious, consistent hospitality. Beloved dishes such as osso buco share the menu with seasonal pastas, fresh Gulf seafood, and contemporary Italian preparations—honoring what guests have always loved while introducing a distinctly new chapter.
